John McCain: The president America never had
30. August 2018 at 21:51
"We weaken our greatness when we confuse our patriotism with tribal rivalries that have sown resentments and hatred and violence in all the corners of the globe. We weaken it when we hide behind the walls, rather than tear them down, when we doubt the power of our ideals, rather than trust them to the great force for change they have always been". -John Sidney McCain

He was the president America never had. A dogged fighter and a patriot whose conservative genes became uniquely branded as a Maverick. McCain soar and towered both as a war Veteran and an absolute great political machine whose oil became a needed grease in fine-tuning both political brilliance and great governance. His initiation into politics in 1982 after a thorough service to his country made him a grounded figure both in service, leadership, and governance.
Indeed, the news of his death brought cold pain to millions of world leaders around the globe most especially to the American people whom he served very honorably both in character and in service. The ex-US Naval bomber pilot, prisoner of war, conservative Maverick was an astute and abrasive American hero with a patriotic twinkle in his eye. A man whose patriotic vibes tenders more to the masturbation of the American map on the global scale.
An absolute believer in the faith and dreams of the American ideals, McCain fought gallantly even in war situation as he sought to preserve the pristine frontiers of the American flag greatly embedded in nobility. In October 26, 1967, his A-4E Skyhawk was shot down by a missile over Hanoi in North Vietnam. This led to his capture and subsequently made a prisoner of war at the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison in Vietnam.
His incarceration in the North Vietnam prison lasted for five and a half years until his release on March 14, 1973 when he eventually became a freeman. Saturday 25th August at exactly 4:25PM no doubt remain a date to be reckon with not just in America also in the city of Hanoi as the latter greatly mourns the passing away of a fine warlord who despite great torture and pain did not capitulate in his noble virtues and faith.
The two time GOP presidential candidate was a towering figure in the annals of US political mileage. A fine politician whose noble ideas and actions was immensely sacrosanct in the dynamics of Washington politics and policies. "Few of us have been tested the way John once was. But all of us can aspire to the courage to put the greater good above our own. At John's best, he showed us what that means"- Barrack Obama pays tribute.
A student of Ronald Reagan's political philosophy of neoconservatism, the Arizona Senator was known for his conservative ideas which he rightly used as a towering tool in his congressional days. His congressional prowess and his ability to stand for his beliefs regardless of political sides made him a unique statesman in the affairs of bipartisan policies. A rarely seen political garb as adorned by the six time Arizona senator in times of moral crisis.
According to former president Gorge W. Bush, McCain was a man of deep convictions. A patriot and a public servant in the finest traditions of the American people. "John McCain- Soldier, and Senator, American and Atlanticist. He would be remembered both in Europe and North America for his courage and character, and as a strong supporter of NATO"- Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg of the western Alliance alluded as he pays tribute to a fallen hero.
As the United States flag stays at half staff level, he will be honored in three cities as his funeral last for five days. A funeral befitting of a president status. Truly, he was the president America never had.
