
According to Pakistan Higher Education Commission report for 2013-14, there are over 3 million students enrolled in grades 13 through 16 in Pakistan's 1,086 degree colleges and 161 universities. Majority of students prefer to study in their hometowns, and after subtraction of those, good guess would touch 0.5 million students who are studying in regular programs while preferring to continue their higher education in some prestigious institutes of the country. Most of students have satisfactory financial background to fulfill their educational needs. Some of them middle class background. While some, and this comprise of majority of students, are financially less privileged. This is the group where a poor guy is faced with inferiority complex. Of course, it seems bid difficult task to provide a world class educational environment to every type of student. So to mitigate this, Sukkur IBA University in collaboration with OGDCL came up with a commitment to mitigate such inequalities and launched a program in 2017 named as Sukkur IBA OGDCL NTHP program, which aims to provide free education to students residing in all the provinces. The first batch which came in 2017 is currently in the last semester and will successfully graduate by the December of 2020. Two students of this batch went to study tour to United States of America, one has been to Malaysia and much more. These were the students who never imagined whether they would be able to carry out their studies or would quite their academic journey here. But in all such condition, Sukkur IBA University and OGDCL appeared as a ray of hope for all those guys. Since, Sukkur IBA University truly believes on
Merit, Quality and Excellence, so it's can be expected that after the successful completion of their academic degrees, these guys would return their homes and would act as drivers of a positive change, Pakistan is in search of. Evaluating the performance of OGDCL NTHP Program .
