Coronavirus: Blessing or Curse
16. December 2020 at 16:30
While the world views Coronavirus as a lurking monster looming around globally threatening lives and escalating fear and panic, there's another face of Coronavirus hiding amidst all turmoil that we don't clearly see.

While the world is going through a pandemic conundrum igniting global shutdown, sparking confinements and quarantines, cancellations and indefinite travel bans swirling around the normal lives of the masses. The chaos will soon fade away but this normalcy that we see today will not be tommorow. The chaos of Coronavirus perhaps seems to a blessing in disguise hard to see and understand.

While the fears of Coronavirus is radically initiating global lockdowns, curbing flights, transportations and productions it is also deliberately stopping us from polluting the planet and has drastically reduced carbon imprints, air pollution and has minimized human's depletion of natural resources along with other benefits of providing an unemployment and insurance cover over the Novel Coronavirus.

Venice's canal water looks clearer as coronavirus keeps visitors away

Since Coronavirus has had the whole country under lockdown the locals have noticed the waters of Venice in the city's canals become much cleaner and clearer, attracting the marine life again.

Snaps and Photographs of Venice are being flooded across social media reflecting the beauty of nature amid a chaotic pandemic scenario. For the first time in nearly 60 years, the citizens of Venice have witnessed a dolphin swimming around their canals along with the return of small fishes and swans giving an indication that perhaps the virus has brought with it something beautiful.

Coronavirus Lockdown In China saves lives by reducing Pollution

The rigid lockdown in China- the birthplace of Coronavirus, has slashed down the pollution levels, shuttering the operations of factories, fumigation of streets and banning transportation thereby reducing traffic and saving the lives of thousands of people.

Researchers and Environmentalists found a drop in pollution levels and thus calculated the subsequent effect on mortality nationwide. It is said that the two months of the pandemic shutdown has resulted in two months of pollution reduction resulting in saving the lives of around 4,000 kids under 5 and 73,000 adults over 70 in China.

NASA scientists have revealed that for the first time, during the quarantine period, there has been a sharp and a rapid decline in air pollution levels in China.

Pollution levels have similarly decreased over Italy, Paris and Hongkong.

With the toxic levels in China's air lowering it again forces our instincts to believe that our planet earth is an unlikely beneficiary of the lethal Coronavirus.

Coronavirus offers 'Me Time' to the Word

Believing that social distancing, self isolation and barriers in gestures will help in mitigating the dangers of Coronavirus it also comes with added benefits that laying low for a while can actually give one time to develop and bond over relationships with oneself and others. With disentangling our lives from assumed pleasures the

fears of Coronavirus has given the masses a chance to spend more time at home, offering them an opportunity to take care of themselves and cross-off the items from their to-do list which their busy life schedule would not permit them to do.

While the outbreak of Coronavirus has brought on fear and panic what it has also brought is global unity with whole of humanity coming together and joining hands irrespective of variations to fight back and curb and contain the spread of the lethal coronavirus which has brought along few unintended blessings in disguise.
